Frequent Questions » Interference
Do Araneo links suffer from interference?
Just as roadworks can interrupt fibre, and a storm can knock down a telephone pole, once in a while a wireless network can suffer from interference - even in licensed frequency bands!
Araneo links are however monitored around the clock for attributes including link quality, signal strength, and latency. Every 90 seconds new information enters our system. If link parameters fall below our high standards, one of our staff members is paged, and corrective action is taken immediately to resolve interference or any other potential issues.
Across Araneo's 600+ deployed links, fewer than 2% have ever suffered interference, and none for longer than a few hours.
